The Junk Notebook

The last pages: the hardest yet the ones I'll love the most.
Page 90/100: My friend Mick
Page 90/100. I'm super happy to feature some drawings that @mikvik1979 a colleague and friend of mine, left on my desk after a brainstorming session. Too bad he doesn't draw and share #hint .
Page 91/100: Amen
Page 91/100: the countdown is now a 1 digit figure. AMEN!
Have you ever thought how many times you said amen in your life?
Me, a lot. I took some time to read about the origins of this word and it was very well spent time. I may say it's an inclusive, holistic, pantheistic and unifying term. Present and used in all monotheistic religion.
A simple word that represents unity.
So be it!
Page 91/100: UPDATE

Here is the fixed version of the page with the dots in place. I also searched for the meaning of the dots in Arabic and... they can drastically change the meaning of a word! It was magnificently asinine of me not paying attention to a thing like that. Thanks to @lameei , this is an important lesson learned: just "mimicking" some marks it is not enough, if I want to tap into other languages and cultures I must do my homework and learn more before throwing ink in paper. Thank you again Mostafa.
Page 92/100: Track my day

Page 92/100 is inspired by @mariannerady : track your day! No stats or numbers just a little doodle each time I passed close to my desk. I must say this deserves a serious thought: perhaps more accurate notes with names would make this a valuable resource. Of course if I can make it an habit and do it every day 😊.
Page 93/100: Horizon
Page 93/100, one of the few times I leveraged the page's content. The original of this drawing is something I did not less than 40 years ago for the cover of the Easter edition of my Church zine.
I'm still trying to understand what made this memory to surface.
Page 94/100: Depicting an Icon
Page 94/100 Drawing an Icon.
You know, if you are a sketchnoter, for some people you are "the guy who draw" and they ask you everything from cats portraits to tattoos. So, a friend of mine recently asked me to draw an icon for his new app. That question rounded and rounded in my mind and I gave it a try: I wanted to draw an Icon. I choose a portrait of Marilyn Monroe taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt, iconic at maximum level. I must be honest: this time it took ages and not less that a dozen of attempts to arrive at this. I just subtracted what I thought wasn't distinctive and what wasn't able to render correctly. It was one of the hardest drawing ever.
Page 95/100: Jellyfish
Page 95/100 is inspired by @sarah.pressler pictures of jellyfishes. The scientific name of this creature is Cyanea lamarckii AKA Blue Jellyfish. Can you imagine having a whole wall painted with all different kind of jellyfishes in all their glorious different colors?
Page 96/100: Kitsugi
Page 96/100. Kitsugi is a Japanese art to repair broken pottery by using lacquer mixed with gold dust. It has a kindred philosophy with wabi-sabi that embrace imperfections and flaws. Kitsugi, rather than trying to hide the damage, highlights it as part of the history and life of the object. I tore this image by mistake and it came to my mind that I could still use it making the rips evident and part of the page.
Page 97/100: Mettici la faccia
‪Page 97/100 Mettici la faccia. ‬
‪It means put your face in it. So I put some color on my fade and squeezed on a mirror. Baaad idea. Removing the color from the beard was a nightmare 😂.‬
Page 98/100:
Page 98/100: a #sketchipe can't be missed in this book. Even if there is some pasta in the picture this is the famous xLontrax Sushi: a shiny example 😂 of fusion cuisine.
I made a mistake!!!
Guys, I have a problem! I wanted to complete this project at #isc19fr but I miscalculated the days and I'm 1 day longer. Hence tomorrow I'll post page 99 AND 100 at once. I beg your pardon for this. @blhuillier and @isabellepailleau hope you'll forgive me 😉‬
Page 99/100: The Astrolabe
This is the actual page but I published this in the same day with page 100 (see below).
This junk notebook has been my astrolabe fo the past weeks. It told me where I was, how I got there and opened the way for the next steps.

The Last Page
Done! 100 pages, posted one at the time for 100 days.
Happy? Relieved? Sad? I don't know.
Once a "100 project" finishes it is always a mixture of feelings.
Only one thing is sure: I'm already thinking to the next project.
And here some "Making of"
